How long have you been playing soccer? How did you get into the sport?
I have been playing soccer since I was three years old. My Dad first got me into soccer when he signed me up for the local team, and I’ve been playing ever since.
What made you want to join the team at SLU?
The team’s previous success is what initially attracted me to the team. However, my first visit to SLU is what really solidified my choice. After meeting all of the guys on the team and seeing how close they were, I knew that SLU was the place for me.
What has been your favorite experience on the team so far?
My favorite experience on the team so far is winning the Liberty League this past season. Winning the league title is always our goal at the beginning of each season. It was so great to achieve our goal.
What makes SLU’s soccer team so unique?
The closeness of our team is what makes SLU soccer so unique. No team that I visited during high school was nearly as close as the SLU team.
What is your competition/practice schedule like?
In season, we usually practice Monday through Thursday with competitions on Friday and Saturday. Then, on Sunday, we have an optional yoga/recovery session with our trainer (shout-out to Nikki!).
Do you have any pre-competition rituals?
I don’t have any pre-game rituals. When we have home games, I like to wake up, get Dana brunch and take a nap in the space-pants in the training room.
What do you do to celebrate a win?
Each season, the team has a different victory song that we play in the locker room after a win. This season, our victory song was Mo Bamba.
Who would you say is your biggest fan?
My parents are my biggest fans. At least one of my parents has been to all of my games for as long as I can remember. I wouldn’t be the player/person I am today without their love and support.

I couldn’t have asked for a better four years at SLU!!
