Women’s Skating Saints Split with Knights on Route 11 Rivalry Weekend
St. Lawrence’s #9 ranked women’s hockey team split their rivalry series with #3 ranked Clarkson over the weekend.
The St. Lawrence Saints held the Clarkson Golden Knights scoreless in Friday’s home contest at Appleton Arena.
Abby Hustler scored the game’s lone goal midway through the third period, giving the Saints a 1-0 victory over a Golden Knight team that narrowly outshot them 9-8.
The script flipped on Saturday when the Saints fell 6-4 at Cheel Arena in a shootout where the Golden Knights outshot St. Lawrence 49-26.
The Golden Knights currently sit at 24-2-2 atop the ECAC, while the Saints are currently 19-9.
The Saints look to bounce back against Cornell next weekend.
