How long have you been playing baseball? How did you get into the sport?
I started playing baseball at age 5. My parents signed me up for t-ball in NJ. When my family moved to London I started playing baseball there. We returned to NJ, where I would get serious about playing.
What made you want to join the team at SLU?
I wanted to continue my passion for the game beyond high school. Once I got to know the upperclassmen on an overnight trip I knew SLU was the place.
What has been your favorite experience on the team so far?
Definitely the belly flop contest last Spring, in Cape Coral. Our camaraderie. We have lots of fun, but when it’s time to work it’s all business.
What is your competition/practice schedule like?
We have a very demanding schedule. Practices are five to six days a week. We play two games on Saturdays and two games on Sundays. In addition, we have mid-week games, typically on Wednesday. I like to listen to music. I also visualize what I’ll need to do for different situations I might encounter on the mound.
What do you do to celebrate a win?
We’ll play a specific song if we win.
Who would you say your biggest fan is?
My biggest fan is probably my dad.
Anything else you would like to add?
Make sure you come support the baseball team and see the new renovations to Tom Fay Field! Roll Saints.
