MATT TAYLOR’S EDITORS NOTE:
Over his three years at St. Lawrence, Zach Jaworski has cemented himself as a legend both on and off the field. As his last weeks of competing as a student-athlete wind down, the sports section has decided to honor him with a special full page edition of the athlete of the week.

Off the field, he has displayed his journalistic brilliance at The Hill News, working a sports and opinions staff writer, features editor, and senior managing editor. He is also the editor-in-chief of The Underground, an intern for North Country Public Radio, and a community assistant for first-year students.

On the field, Jaworski is a two-year captain of the track & field team, and has led SLU throwers to new heights. He has notched personal bests of 14.51m in the Shot Put, 33.49m in the Discus, 50.66m in the Hammer Thow, and 16.61 in the Weight Throw. Jaworski has been a consistent scorer at the Liberty League Championship meet, but is still chasing an ever elusive Liberty League Championships victory.

On Friday May 3 and Saturday May 4, he will compete at his final Liberty League Championship, so follow along at leonetiming.com to see the results for Jaworski and the rest of the SLU Track & Field team.
