What inspired you to start rowing?
I decided I was done with baseball, and I wanted to try a new sport. I had a friend who rowed and encouraged me to try out.
Why did you choose St. Lawrence?
I felt like the small class size would be valuable to my education.
What is your favorite team memory?
My sophomore year I was competing to be in the 1V. We had a 2k test to determine the lineup and I was racing another teammate. So that I would not get in my own head, my teammates at the time, Angus, Cam Kessler, Rob, Rydo and DO had taped my monitor and connected their phone so they were the only people that could see my time. They kept me on pace and helped me keep a level head despite my heart beating out of my chest at 204 bpm for 6 minutes. The feeling of them screaming at me and congratulating me as I beat my other teammate by 5 seconds was like no other.
What is your favorite St. Lawrence memory?
One of my favorite memories at SLU was this raft day. My townhouse bought 3 20 ft tarps and laid them out on the townhouse quad to set up a massive slip and slide.
How has your season been going so far?
It has been going excellent. All of the guys are super motivated to win Liberty Leagues again, and we are all taking the necessary steps towards getting there.
