How long have you been playing tennis?
Since I was four years old; I started taking it seriously at 15.

What inspired you to start playing tennis?
My dad played it growing up, and there were some older top- ranked players in my neighborhood that I loved watching.

Why did you choose to attend St. Lawrence?
It’s a small school, a place I’d never been before and the people I saw on my tour were the friendliest out of any place I visited.

What is your favorite team memory?
This past weekend, beating Skidmore. It’s been 14 years since we did that, and before that, you’d have to do a lot of scrolling to find the last time we beat them. So proud of the team.

What is your favorite class that you have taken at SLU?
Dr. Mary Jane Smith’s History Research Methods course. She is an incredibly insightful and intelligent professor. I think that’s the most content I’ve ever absorbed over the course of one semester.

What is your favorite part of being a collegiate athlete?
At no other time in your life do you have a built-in period of time every day where you can fully leave real life and have fun. Tennis is especially good for this because if you have had a tough day, you can hit harder than usual.

How has your season been going so far?
It’s been awesome. I couldn’t ask for a better start. Our coach pumped up our strength of schedule this year, and the team is responding really well.
