How have you been performing this season? This season I have been playing pretty well. It was nice to start our season a bit earlier and get some solid training in before our matches began. I have been healthy all year and I am looking forward to finishing strong.
What is the culture like on your team? Culture on a team is always changing and as I look back over the four years we have only gotten closer not only within the women’s team but with the men as well. With changes in the coaching staff we have been able to work together through the transitions making us a tight knit team.
What are some highlights of the season so far? Personally, a highlight this season is being able to travel to nearly all matches with the men’s team. Even though our opponents are often stronger it’s always nice to have them supporting us as well as being able to watch some of their matches!
What are you looking forward to in the rest of your final season? We are really looking forward to playing for the Liberty League title for our third year in a row. Although we lost against our biggest competitor earlier this season I am confident we have worked hard and are ready to compete.
Looking back on your squash career so far, what is your biggest achievement? I think my biggest achievement over the past four years is remaining in the starting lineup throughout my college career. As new skilled freshman are recruited, there is always a battle for the top playing spots. I am happy with my ability to improve my performance each season as well as stay consistent.
How has squash shaped your experience at St. Lawrence? Squash has been a big part of my experience here at St Lawrence giving me an opportunity to represent my school at competitions off campus. I have been able to travel and meet so many awesome people through the sport and share them with my friends here on campus.
