The upcoming trends of Spring 2020 seemed almost cohesive amongst the collections.
Highlighting the lips and facial features of models stretch amongst the subtle look of dewy, glossy lips to Balenciaga’s cartoonish facial exaggerations of lips and cheekbones to act as a visual contemplation of our culture’s obsession with plastic surgery.
All the designers were extremely groundbreaking with their layers and limitless attempts to outdo themselves from their Fall collections.
The accessories that scattered each runway were also tempting in terms of trends that seem to be circling back, as well as adventurous avenues for jewelry and hats.
Y/ Project blew expectations with matching necklace and earring sets that seemed to defy the limits of everyday wear.
Christian Dior designed a beautiful bucket hat with net overlay and Saint Laurent’s attempt to let fedoras make a comeback.
A personal favorite was Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2020 debut with a plethora of beige and black structured silhouettes with sophisticated stitching.
The designer paired these delicate looks with studded and patent leather combat boots.
Model Abby Champion was a standout for the collection with a one-armed tailored black blazer.
Vogue Editor Sally Singer reflected on the Alexander McQueen show by saying “when you make things with the right values, when you treat the earth and its citizens and their traditions with care and respect, when you endeavor to reimagine what might once have been tossed aside or away, when you take the time to truly care about every piece you create, you simply make better things.
With great thought comes great beauty—magnificence, really. This was the lesson in sustainability that every corporate leader in fashion needed to be taught.”

Louis Vuitton was another favorite with their ability to design timeless, business casual pieces with a plethora of patterns and textures.
They channeled an expression of refinement for their collection and seemed to pinpoint that exactly.
Knee high socks and boot like mules matched the cuts of leather skirts and wide legged pants.
The design team truly played with elements of fashion that seemed haven’t seen the sun in years, including ruffle miniskirts and sequin sweater vests.
