It’s that time of year again folks. Hopefully you guys haven’t lost your headphones underneath that massive pile of printed class readings you’ve been ignoring all semester. Basically, I’m back to inform you guys how I’ve managed to survive my last five finals weeks (words still out on if I’ll be making it through this one). So sit back, relax and take in my top-three “musts” for a successful finals weeks.
- Find a healthy stress reliever:
Try to find something that can take your mind off of all the work you’re going to be staying up late doing this week. Not a bottle of Bacardi. Not hooking up with that person in your class. (Actually, maybe hook up with that person from your Psych class? Look through their notes after? It’s probably worth considering.)
The point is, do some drawing in your notebook, go to Dana with your friends, or play some 2k. Do something that won’t have you face down in an All-Gender bathroom pulling trig on a Wednesday.
- Buy a planner:
Not one of those monthly ones. Those are pretty pointless. The only thing that wastes more paper is syllabus week, and I guarantee that you have no idea where that 20-page syllabus your professor handed out week one.
Get a daily planner, and put down a checklist of all the things you want to get accomplished that day. You’ll be basking in the amazing feeling that is crossing the s#@t out of all your responsibilities.
- Pet a dog:
Who doesn’t love dogs? They are amazing de-stressers, and they also make for some pretty great Instagram story pics. Scientists also haven’t necessarily come out and said that dog saliva DOESN’T make you smarter, so you might as well take all the sweet, sloppy licks that you can get.
Do these three things and you’ll probably still fail.
