Waiting For Water
A Fly Angler’s Remedy
When the days are short and cold and there is no fishable water to speak of, anglers get antsy.
This is especially true for fly-fishers, for whom winter fishing is next to impossible.
But the frigid months can be put to good use – for fly anglers this comes in the form of tying flies.
By lashing feathers, hairs, and synthetic materials to a hook with fine thread, innumerable replications of natural fish forage can be made.
Club Fishing will be hosting an intro to fly tying workshop Monday, Feb. 10 in the Student Media Office at 6 p.m.
