Introducing the SLU PPGA Grant
PPGA is so back! SLU Planned Parenthood Generation Action is a campus organization that engages with and educates students on reproductive rights and sexual wellness. If you’ve ever wondered who stocks the baskets of free products in public restrooms that’s us! PPGA intentionally uses August period care products as they are free of harmful additives and are committed to sustainability. We have recently added pregnancy tests (compliments of The Dub) and liners to our selection of tampons, pads, condoms, dental dams, and lube to further provide for our lovely student body.
To further expand our mission of providing accessible products to students, we are pleased to announce our newest Initiative: the SLU PPGA Grant! This grant allows students to apply to have a specific location on campus stocked with any variation of our products. The application is a quick google form and can be found by scanning the QR code attached to this article. We believe these grants are well-suited for sports teams, theme houses, and Greek houses but they are open to all students to apply for any location.
Our stocking locations have been the Student Center and ODY, and we have recently added the Science Library, Bewkes 112, Valentine 114A, The Dub vestibule, Artist Guild, Student Center (Men’s), and Women’s Soccer restroom. If there is a location you would like to see stocked outside of this list- please apply! Ideally every restroom would be stocked but this is unfeasible for our club, so we are using the responses to this form to determine the locations of greatest need.
PPGA has taken on several other initiatives this semester. Some of our collaborative events include Pride Prom, Kamala Pajamala Watch Party, New York State Proposition 1 chat, and Purple Week Trivia. Additionally, you may have received goodies from us during our trick-or-treat tabling event on Halloween.
