Another Week, Another SLU Connect Opportunity! NYC Applications Now Open!
The Center for Career Excellence is now accepting applications for TWO SLU Connect programs. Applications for our San Francisco program opened last week and will close on October 21, while the New York City program applications opened earlier this week and close on November 4.
Both programs will run from January 6-10, 2025. A global center for the financial industry, New York City is home to countless Laurentians. While this year’s itinerary is not yet complete, students who were part of last year’s visit took part in programming that included:
•Site visits at Bloomberg, Paramount, SAP, Marvel Entertainment , Hearst, and IEX
•Opportunities to meet with SLU-Connected employers, including HQ Capital and Landmark Management
•Healthcare and finance roundtable discussions
•Young alumni breakfast
•A networking reception that gave students an opportunity to meet dozens of Laurentians in a variety of career fields
•Back to the Future: The Musical on Broadway
The program offers students an incredible opportunity for sophomores, juniors and seniors to explore career options and start building a professional network in New York City! But don’ t take our word for it… here is some of the feedback we got from students who were par t of the program last year.

Hotel accommodations, some meals, and on-site transportation will be covered by the program. Students will be responsible for travel costs to/from the city, some meals, and any personal travel during the program. There is, however, an opportunity to apply for financial aid to help cover those costs.
