Drug Bust in Canton
According to reporting by the Watertown Channel 7 Digital News desk a recent traffic stop in Canton resulted in a cocaine and methamphetamine bust earlier this month.
The vehicle was pulled over in the Village of Canton at the intersection of Main Street and Riverside Drive, after running a red light. Over 50 ounces of methamphetamine and 40 ounces of crack cocaine were seized as a result. If sold on the street the drugs would have had an estimated value of $180,000 thousand.
There were two people in the car, Christopher McGregor and Nancy Perry of Massena. Both were charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. They were arraigned in Canton Town Court and sent to the Saint Lawrence County jail without bail.
