Cinnamon Rolls

0

Hello, I am here to show and prove that cinnamon rolls are way easier than you think. I love to make them for dinner; they are the perfect sweet-to-bread ratio out there. How could you go wrong with cinnamon?

Ingredients:

Dough

– 2 eggs

– 1 cup of warm whole milk

– 2 ¼ teaspoons of active dry yeast

– 4 ½ cups of flour (You may need a little bit more for rolling)

– 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted but not hot

– ½ cup of sugar

– 1 ¾ teaspoons of salt

 Filling

– 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter it should be soft

– 1 cup of dark brown sugar

– 2 tablespoons of cinnamon

– ½ teaspoon of salt

 Frosting

–  Not going to lie I freestyle it each time with a mix of cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk and vanilla.

Directions:

 Dough

1. First, put the 1 cup of warm milk and 2 ¼ teaspoons of active dry yeast mix, then  leave it till it is foamy.

2. Add the 4 ½ cups of flour, 2 eggs, 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter (melted but not  hot), ½ cup of sugar, and 1 ¾ teaspoons of salt, and mix till the dough comes off the  side of your bowl. If you’re using a mixer, it should take about 8 minutes, prob longer if  not. If it’s still sticky, add one tablespoon till it is not.

3. Put your dough to rest for an hour or a bit more in a bowl covered in a warm place.

4. While that is happening, make the filling. Put the 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter, 1 cup  of dark brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of cinnamon, and ½ teaspoon of salt in a bowl, mix  till combined. (It’s easiest with a fork.)

5. After the dough rested, put some flour down and roll out your dough into a thinish  rectangle. Then spread your filling across your dough. Roll up your dough and filling, then cut them, and they should look like cute spirals.

6. Put them in your baking pan, one that has walls higher than your rolls. Then let them rest  to expand again for another hour. (You can skip this; they will just be less fluffy.)

7. Heat the oven to 375 degrees. Cook till golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes.

8. Let them cool, then add your frosting!!!

9. You’re done and enjoy.

Not that hard, right?
