Meet THN Editorial Staff for Fall 2025
NOAH DONNELAN-DOSER
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Noah Donnellan-Doser (D2) ’26 is Editor-in-Chief for The Hill News. D2 comes from a writing background in the seaside town of Ipswich, Massachusetts. He is currently studying a English and Digital Media & Film double major with a Music minor. Along with The Hill News, he also works as the student worker for the English and Religious Studies departments. In his spare time, D2 specializes in stolen bucket hats and avid procrastination. After graduating, D2 plans to pursue a screenwriting career on the West Coast. He is very excited to expand the Hill News to the diverse St. Lawrence student body and can’t wait to share it with you!
NORA KENYON
MANAGING EDITOR
Nora Kenyon ’27 is a managing editor of The Hill News. She is from Allentown, Pennsylvania. Kenyon is double majoring in Psychology and English. She started out with the newspaper as Thelmo representative before moving to News Editor. Kenyon interned with North Country Public Radio over the summer where she learned about the art of audio journalism. She produced news stories affecting the North Country and other fun feature stories. Kenyon is also a member of Campus Kitchens Project and helps with prep and delivery shifts. When she is not studying, Kenyon enjoys reading historical fiction novels, keeping active outside, and doing odd arts and crafts in her room.
SKYLAR WHITE
MANAGING EDITOR
Skylar White ’26 is a managing editor of The Hill News. She is from Victor, Idaho and is majoring in Creative Writing with a minor in Global Studies. She started writing for the Hill in Juraj Kittler’s Intro to Journalism class and then served as the chief copy editor for a year. In her free time, you can find White soaking up the sun on the side lawn of the SLU Outing Club house, guiding trips for the Outdoor Program, or stealing apples from trees around Canton (the official term in British English is scrumping, look it up). She is ecstatic to be a managing editor this semester and continue her passion for amplifying important stories in the SLU community, the North Country and beyond.

NEWS EDITOR
Irem Tuana Çiftçi ’27 is one of the news editors for The Hill News. She is from Bursa, Turkey. She majors in Data Science and Sociology with a minor in Arabic Studies. She started writing and copy editing for The Hill News after taking a journalism class in her freshman year. Tuana is a coordinator in the I-House and the president of the Islamic Culture Club. She enjoys biking and baking with her friends, and watching videos in random languages in her free time.

NEWS EDITOR
Galen Halasz ’27 is one of the news editors for The Hill News. He is from Saranac Lake, New York and is double majoring in English and music with a potential minor in global studies. He started writing for The Hill News after spending a summer working full-time hours as a reporter at the Adirondack Daily Enterprise. His other involvements on campus include running on the cross-country team, performing in a couple music ensembles and new student band Late Night Delirium, Chess Club, Club Soccer and Club Nordic. In his free time, he is also working on his debut novel.
WHITNEY LAFAVE
OPINIONS EDITOR
Whitney LaFave ’26 is the opinions editor for The Hill News. She is a Neuroscience major and a Chemistry minor, and she is from Watertown, N.Y. She first got involved with The Hill News during her junior year when she took Introduction to Journalism. She is also a member of The Advocates and a peer tutor. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, reading and playing the piano.

FEATURES EDITOR
Olivia Barbera ’27 is the Features editor for the Hill News. She is from Newburyport, Massachusetts and is double majoring in English and Public Health. She began working at The Hill in the Fall of 2024 as the Arts & Entertainment editor before transitioning to her current role. When Barbera isn’t busy collecting articles, she enjoys a long leisurely trail run, listening to the same song on repeat for hours, sunbathing with a good book in hand, and enjoying sweet treats with friends over a Dana Debrief.
CARSON HANNA
A&E EDITOR
Carson Hanna ’26 is the Arts & Entertainment editor for The Hill News. He is from Malone, New York and is double majoring in Psychology and Political Science. He started working at The Hill News as the Features editor before switching to Arts & Entertainment last semester. In his free time, Hanna enjoys spending time with friends, listening to music, watching movies, and being outdoors. He aims to bring meaningful news from the art world to St. Lawrence, drawing from both campus and beyond. After graduating, Hanna plans to pursue a career in law.”
KALINA NATCHEVA
SPORTS EDITOR
Kalina Natcheva ’27 is the sport’s editor for The Hill News. She is from Nantucket, Massachusetts and has had a passion for sports journalism since her freshman year of high school. Natcheva is a double major in English and Business in the Liberal Arts and hopes to work in the professional sports industry after college. She is an Admissions Ambassador, a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Representative, and the Peer Mentor Coordinator for Athletes for Athletes. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing volleyball, spending time with her German Shepard, Zack, and traveling.
ELLA ROBJENT
CHIEF PHOTOGRAPHER
Ella Robjent ’28 is the chief photographer for The Hill. They are from Lake Placid, NY, and have been taking photo classes since middle school, although this is their first foray into the world of collegiate photography. Robjent is intending to major in English Literature and minor in Education. Along with The Hill, Robjent also works in the theatre scene shop, and plays rugby. They are also enjoying their first semester living in the Outing Club.

CHIEF DIGITAL EDITOR
Emma Kahle ’26 is the chief digital editor for The Hill News. She is from Wilton, Connecticut, and attended Deerfield Academy, a small boarding school in Western Massachusetts. Kahle is double majoring in English major on the creative writing side and Digital Media & Film with a minor in European Studies. She joined The Hill News her first year at St. Lawrence as a digital editor after taking an Intro to Journalism class in the fall. She also serves as the editor-in-chief of The Underground academic journal. Kahle is a member of the women’s squash team. She is also a part of the Kappa Delta Sigma sorority, Omicron Delta Kappa, and the Irving Bachelor Society. Kahle loves spending time with friends, writing, and playing the guitar!
