“Here We Go Saints” 2025

Last week, Saints Athletics marked the fifth annual year of the “Here We Go Saints” donor challenge. The challenge raised $754,154 thanks to donations from supporters of St. Lawrence University athletes across its 35 different sports. This milestone broke the previous record of $585,448 reached during last year’s campaign. 2,990 donors donated from 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 29 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30. According to the Saints Athletics website, “the funds raised will be used to strengthen the infrastructure and resources behind St. Lawrence’s athletic programs, ensuring continued excellence and growth across all sports.” 

This year also marked the fifth year of the “Phelps Family Challenge,” hosted by Barry Phelps ’69 and Pat Hitchcock Phelps ’69, P’96. Every year, the Phelps family donates $5,000 for every 100 donors, with the goal of raising $50,000. 

Several sports teams created their own social media videos, encouraging supporters from across the world to donate. Donors received several gifts in return for their support, including a custom St. Lawrence pennant and cup, a Bluetooth speaker, a Scarlet & Brown membership and more.
