How long have you been playing hockey? How did you get into the sport?
Playing for 17 years. My older brother played and growing up I always wanted to do what he did.
What made you want to join the team at SLU?
Very thankful to be welcomed in as a transfer junior. Being a top 10 NCAA team as well as receiving a top education, I could not pass up the opportunity to finish my university career off at any other place than SLU.
What has been your favorite experience on the team so far?
Winning against Clarkson in overtime this year, giving them their first loss of the year!
What makes SLU’s hockey team so unique?
We are able to enjoy our experience being student-athletes. Experiencing playing on another university team, we are given more freedom and lenience her at SLU, and this truly gives the full experience any person should get.
What is your competition/practice schedule like?
We practice Monday through Thursday, playing games Friday and Saturdays. Off ice, we run on Mondays, lift on Tuesdays and are able to stretch and relax leading up to game day. Very exhausting but so worth it!
Do you have any pre-competition rituals?
I am not superstitious when it comes to games. However, every morning on the weekends I try to get an episode of The Office in before starting my day.
What do you do to celebrate a win?
As a team, we listen to “When it Rains it Pours”. We like to send it into happy mode later.
Who would you say is your biggest fan?
Allie Compeau, fellow teammate! She is always making my day!
Anything else you want to add?
Cluck Farkson.
