The Saints riding team came into this past weekend with an undefeated record of 2-0, looking to stretch their winning streak to four with shows on Saturday at Geneseo and Sunday at Cazenovia.  Saturday, they were able to start off the weekend on a high note with a first place finish at Geneseo, to stretch their point lead in the regional standings up to 14 and their undefeated record to 3-0.  The following day, the team came up just short, finishing tied with Syracuse University for second place behind Cazenovia, which gave the team their first non-first place finish of the year. Even so, the Saints still hold an 8-point lead over Cazenovia in the overall regional point standings for the season.

Over the course of the two shows, several Saints riders finished with first place finishes in their respective events, as well as a high point rider and reserve high point honors for their performance.  Coming up with those first place finishes were, on Saturday: Senior Emily D’Alessandro: (high point rider) 1st open flat; Sophomore Lauren Nolan: (reserve high point ride) 1st intermediate flat; Sophomore Jesse Fortier 1st open fences; First Year Naomi Feguine, 1st novice fences; Senior Jaime Tempesta, 1st intermediate flat; Senior Sheila Murphy, 1st novice flat; Senior Lauryn Tannenhaus, 1st novice flat; Senior Ali Hiple, 1st advance walk-trot-canter; Sophomore Julia Robinson, 1st advanced walk-trot-canter; Junior Manon Edeline, 1st walk-trot.  Those taking first place in their events on Sunday were: Sophomore Jesse Fortier, 1st open fences; Junior Alyssa Bokor, 1st open fences; Sophomore Morgan Oakes 1st novice flat; Ali Hiple 1st advanced walk-trot-canter; Senior Amelia Heroux 1st beginner walk-trot-canter; Manon Edeline 1st walk-trot.  Other high placing second or third place Saints riders included Junior Siv Saati,  Junior Mackenzie Alderman, Junior Sarah Buck, Senior Anna Haron, Sophomore Kaleigh Galvin, and Senior Grace Segrave who solidified the Saints high scoring position in the weekends individual show scorings and the season regional scoring.

After what was, overall, a solid weekend, a first and second place finish, the saints have time to rest next weekend.  From here, they can look forward to the St. Lawrence Shows, taking place on November 15th and 16th, here in Canton, NY.
