The Saints came ready to win this weekend; and that is exactly what they did. the men defeated Hobart College 68-57 on Friday night and Hamilton College 68-53 on Saturday, bringing them to an o verall record of 9-9 (5-2 in Liberty League).

Fans and athletes poured into the St. Lawrence Newell Field House on Saturday, January 23 for the St. Lawrence Invitational. It’s an exciting time for St. Lawrence sports, as one of their own, Wendy Pavlus ‘11, has been nominated as a candidate for the 2009-2010 Division III Athlete of the Year by the Board of the Collegiate Women Sports Awards. Though the men’s and women’s basketball teams graduated a number of quality players, they look to return strong this year. The lady Saints have started well, and while the men have struggled early on they are looking forward to the rest of the season.
The St. Lawrence swimming and diving team put up a good fight against RIT last Saturday, November 7. After a hard battle the men and women teams were both defeated, 148-82 and 139-98 respectively. The Saints still put up good results despite the loss.
